1. Membership Agreement

By becoming a member of Jatan Bachat Samuha (JBS), you agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and bylaws established by the organization. This agreement establishes the rights and responsibilities of both the member and the organization.

Important: All members must be at least 18 years of age and provide valid identification and proof of residence upon joining.

2. Member Obligations

As a member of JBS, you are required to:

  • Make regular contributions as agreed upon during registration
  • Attend at least 75% of scheduled meetings
  • Participate actively in group decisions and democratic processes
  • Maintain confidentiality of other members' financial information
  • Provide accurate and truthful information in all dealings with the organization
  • Respect other members and maintain a supportive community environment

3. Financial Responsibilities

All financial transactions within JBS are governed by the following principles:

  • Contributions must be made on time according to the agreed schedule
  • Loan repayments must be made as per the approved repayment plan
  • Interest rates and fees are determined democratically by the membership
  • Any default or delay in payments may result in penalties as decided by the group
  • All financial records are maintained transparently and are available for member review

4. Loan Policies

Loans are subject to the following terms and conditions:

  • Loans are available only to members in good standing
  • Loan amounts are determined based on contribution history and group funds availability
  • All loans must be approved through the democratic voting process
  • Collateral or guarantors may be required for larger loan amounts
  • Early repayment is encouraged and may be eligible for interest reduction

5. Dispute Resolution

In case of any disputes or disagreements:

  • Members should first attempt to resolve issues through direct communication
  • Unresolved matters will be brought before the group for collective decision
  • The decision of the majority will be final and binding
  • Serious violations may result in membership suspension or termination

6. Withdrawal and Termination

Members may withdraw from the organization subject to the following conditions:

  • Written notice of intent to withdraw must be provided at least 30 days in advance
  • All outstanding loans must be cleared before withdrawal
  • Savings may be subject to withdrawal restrictions as per group policies
  • The organization reserves the right to terminate membership for serious violations

7. Amendments

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time through democratic processes. All members will be notified of any changes, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
